SPFPP Episode 125: We Attract Experiences We Are Ready to Heal

The title doesn’t do this episode justice. Brittany Policastro joins the ‘Something Positive for Positive People’ podcast to share her experience of healing. As someone who has lived with genital herpes more than 18 years, she shares a plethora of experiences from the information she received upon diagnosis in the early 2000’s to what she learned as time progressed.

We discuss silent rejection and how that can look when we are navigating partnerships. Brittany shares some of her experiences being open about her HSV status, being polyamorous and having used saran wrap early in her relationship with her primary partner. This episode challenges us to explore the narratives we tell ourselves and meet those narratives gently.

We also talk about disclosure in polyamory. A question that we address is whether or not a partner who has not tested positive for herpes should tell their other partners if they are intimate with someone who has tested positive. So many gems this episode, enjoy!
