Yoga Therapy for Stigma and Emotional Wellness
Move with Meaning. Heal with Presence.

“Stigma fractures identity—it pulls us away from our center. At Something Positive for Positive People (SPFPP), Yoga Therapy offers a presence-based approach to healing, using breath, movement, stillness, and reflection to help you reconnect to your inner core and regulate from the inside out.”

My name is Courtney Brame. I’m the founder of SPFPP and a Yoga Therapist in training. I guide donation-based, one-on-one Yoga Therapy sessions designed for people navigating stigma, especially those living with herpes or layered identity challenges. Our work is rooted in presence, not pressure. You don’t have to be “good at yoga”—you just need to be willing to be with yourself.

What Is Yoga Therapy?
Unlike a typical group yoga class, Yoga Therapy is personalized. These 75-minute virtual sessions focus on your specific needs—whether you're navigating shame, stress, or identity confusion. You’ll be met where you are, not where the world expects you to be.

Each session may include:

  • Breathwork to regulate emotional energy

  • Gentle movement to release stored tension

  • Meditation and stillness to reconnect to your center

  • Reflective conversation to clarify your values and needs

You are the atom—your core is your identity, and everything else orbits that. Yoga Therapy helps you recognize what's truly you, and what’s just noise.

Why Yoga Therapy?
Herpes may have led you here, but stigma shows up in many forms. Emotional stress can trigger physical symptoms, but deeper than that, it creates internal dissonance. Yoga Therapy gives you a way to stabilize your center—like the nucleus of an atom—so that everything else around you can find balance.

You’ll build the capacity to:

  • Move through shame without being defined by it

  • Reconnect to your body as a safe place to live in

  • Feel into your joy and purpose without fear

  • Notice what aligns with your identity—and what doesn't

Additional Areas of Support
This work is also supportive for:

  • Addiction & Recovery: Reconnect to your body, release judgment, and practice rhythm and regulation.

  • Chronic Pain: Use breath, movement, and mindfulness to soften pain’s grip on your identity.
