SPFPP Episode 171: Black Minds Matter Part 2

*Trigger warning for suicide in this episode of Something Positive for Positive People. We care about our SPFPP listeners mental well-being and I so appreciate your continued support. Thank you for continuing to learn from our guests and listen to us speak through these challenging conversations as they arise from a conversation about herpes.

In this episode, we conclude the conversation Bliss and I were having about black mental health. We talked about just how different mental wellness challenges look for people with blackness. We discussed her own challenges with depression and suicide ideation. I can’t say it enough, our sexual health and mental health are so interconnected with one another. The stigma itself brings about so many challenges compounded by the normalization of trauma in the Black community.
