Yoga for Health Professionals and Supporters
Presence for the People Who Hold It All
If you’re a health professional, organizer, or frontline worker, you know what it means to show up for others day after day. You hold space. You educate. You support people through stigma, trauma, crisis—and often do it all without space to process your own.
At SPFPP, we believe supporters deserve support too. That’s why we offer yoga-informed wellness programming for the people who are always expected to be “on.” These sessions are not just about stress relief—they're about presence. For your body. For your breath. For your identity outside of your role.
Why This Matters
Long hours, emotional labor, and compassion fatigue are real. Especially for disease intervention specialists, mental health providers, and public health teams. Our yoga sessions validate the full humanity of the people doing the helping—through movement, stillness, and reflection that center presence, not performance.
Whether you're organizing a training, hosting a retreat, or investing in your staff’s well-being, these sessions give your team a chance to reset, be seen, and reconnect with themselves.

Rooted in the Mission of SPFPP
As founder of Something Positive for Positive People and a Yoga Therapist-in-training, I (Courtney Brame) bring a trauma-informed approach to every session. These offerings build on our mission of minimizing stigma—extending the same care we provide to individuals, to the professionals who support them.
When I lead sessions, I’m not just teaching yoga. I’m guiding people back to themselves, using the koshas (body, breath, mind, wisdom, and self) and atomic principles (identity-centered presence) to restore balance in a way that’s accessible, practical, and real.
From breakout sessions at public health conferences to private wellness series for disease intervention teams, participants consistently share how seen, rested, and grounded they feel after these experiences.

Let’s Bring Presence to Your People
If your organization values well-being, inclusion, and stigma-free spaces, let’s collaborate. Whether you’re organizing a wellness event or just want to give your team a reset, these sessions are a moment to reconnect and recharge.
I’ve had the honor of leading sessions like this for the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD), where we guided Disease Intervention Specialists through grounding movement, breathwork, and reflection to release what they hold for others. These sessions reminded participants that they, too, deserve care—that presence isn’t just something they offer, but something they’re worthy of receiving.
In atomic terms: if the people you serve are electrons—spinning fast under pressure—you are the stabilizers of the nucleus. You hold space. You keep rhythm. But that doesn’t mean you’re meant to absorb everyone else’s charge. These yoga sessions are designed to help you clear that static, restore your own balance, and reconnect with your center.
"I came into the session feeling tired and worn down. I wasn’t prepared mentally or energetically—but by the end, I felt much calmer, lighter, and less tense. These sessions were incredibly uplifting."
